Best described as SAFE rock climbing/scrambling, using a system of steel ladders and cables bolted to the rock and under the supervision of a high mountain guide. You can climb up sideways, downwards and backwards if you dare, whilst safely secured with a harness, helmet and gloves.
Where:
Lac Rosiere: for families from age 8 upwards, situated above 1650. A perfect
start to this sport with Lac Rosiere itself, several nature trails and the river
to keep the kids amused.
Croix de Verdons: the highest in France for the die-hards in the group, situated
at the top of Saulire. Lift pass required.
What you need:
Training shoes, water and sun cream
What is supplied:
All the hardware is supplied: helmet, harness, gloves, and carabiners.
Time:
Approx 2 hours
When:
Lac Rosiere: everyday, weather permitting.
Croix de Verdon: only Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Age 8 and above.

This is an activity similar to gorge walking through a river, with a twist. You get to walk, jump and climb over the boulders like a giant game of stepping-stones. You get to swim and jump into rock pools, slide down natural rock slides and to top it all, abseil down a waterfall (water permitting).

Hydrospeed is very much like body surfing through the rapids. The float supports your upper body and you can steer your way through and around the rapids and rocks, getting dunked and bounced at great speed. This is one very exciting ride not for the faint hearted.
