Ski Schools in Courchevel, La Tania and Les Trois Vallees

Ski instruction has developed and changed enormously in recent years, with shorter carving skis and all-terrain skis enabling people to access areas of the mountain previously left to the experts.  As a result, ski instruction has become increasingly popular, especially for the intermediate skier, stuck on the learning "plateau", or the more adventurous skier, determined to link six or seven turns in the bumps or off piste.

Every effort is made to ensure that every group has the best instruction to suit their needs.  With many years experience in the valley, we have come to know the strengths of each ski school which we then try to match to your group.  The logistics of each family or group is considered in terms of timing meeting up and, of course, lunch.  Where possible, we group our guests of similar ability, booking private lessons in very small groups.  Each ski school in the valley caters for the British market, with British instructors or English speaking instructors of the highest quality.  We have forged excellent links with ESF La Tania, Magic in Motion, Momentum Snowsports & Ski Academy.  Please note that  Magic in Motion and Ski Academy have combined to form " Magic snowsports Academy", and they are offering some very good lesson options for both children and adult groups.

ESF La Tania

Good value, English spoken, and with its recent addition, the "magic carpet"
- a snow conveyor belt for children, lessons for our youngest guests have been first class.
Children's lessons from 3½ - 12 years. Maximum 10 per group, 8 in the adult groups.
 Conveniently based in La Tania, it is an ideal choice for both adults and children.

Skiing Lessons:
Times: 09.00 - 11.30 Mon - Fri costing €155 adult/teenager, and €132 children.
Full days also available for children Mon- Fri 9:00-11:30 & 14:00-16:30 lunch is not included.  Costing €212
Late morning lessons , adults only ( great for those that like lazy mornings on holiday) Mon-Fri 11:30-13:30 costing €132
Snow board lessons ( from 11yrs to adult ) : 
Beginners - 5 half days 11:30-13:30 costing is €132.
Intermediate - 5 afternoons 14:00-16:30 costing is €155.
Experienced - 5 afternoons 14:00-16:30 costing is €155.

Momentum Snowsports

Now in their 3rd year, Momentum Snowsports was set up and is run by three friendly British instructors, Keith, Ben and Ben, who are hoping to provide an alternative to larger group sessions. RTM snowboarding school in Courchevel - the best way to learn to ride.  Three of the best British instructors have teamed up, offering beginner, intermediate and advanced sessions.  Relaxed but informative, choose from three hour group lessons in the morning or two hour privates in the afternoon.  New for this year, RTM are offering private skiing lessons too.  More at www.rtmsnowboarding.com

 

 

Private Lessons

A superb way to improve your technical skills, one to one or in a small group.  These can be arranged through all of the ski schools, and with enough people, can work out at a similar price to group lessons.  During peak weeks, ski schools do not offer private lessons in the morning.  Where possible, we try to group our guests from each chalet, to reduce costs.  Working in association with a local ski school, Tony, an ISIA ski teacher, will be offering private lessons on certain weeks.  Costs vary between ski schools depending on times and number on the group, but on average, a 2 hour private is €135 for 1 - 3 people. Add €25 per additional person.
